Therapeutic Yoga
Brings together restorative, gentle & yin yoga poses, breathwork & guided visualization to allow the innate intelligence of your body to restore well-being
What is Therapeutic Yoga?
This yogic practice was developed by Cheri Clampett & Arturo Peal to utilize all the yogic tools available to encourage the mind, body & spirit to disengage from the “fight or flight” response, and to engage in the process of “rest and digest”; thus allowing the bodies’ own healing to take place.
After studying Therapeutic Yoga with Cheri over the course of 10 years, and exploring teachings in reflexology, Benson-Henry’s Relaxation Response, mudras, healing touch, and sound—the practice that I lead in Todos Santos creates an environment that is safe, focused, and nurturing to allow each person to reconnect to their own natural condition of ease and peace. I teach what I need to learn.
What is Restorative Yoga?
Is a system of supporting the body with props to facilitate working with a specific area and breath for an extended period.
What is Gentle Yoga?
Emphasizes slow, mindful movement following Hatha yoga as a guide.
What is Yin Yoga?
Incorporates the slow movement of gentle yoga, and the holding of a pose for an extended period like restorative yoga, though without props.
